Go / No-Go Analyser
Stop leaving bid decisions to chance.
- Structured
- Scored
- Repeatable — every tender, every time
The Problem
Does this sound familiar?
“We discovered the LD clause was uncapped the week after winning. Nobody had checked.”
“We've wasted weeks on tenders we had no realistic chance of winning.”
Bid prep consumed two weeks of team time. The submission didn't make the shortlist. The decision to bid was made on instinct, not on data.
“Different people in our organisation would make different bid decisions on the same tender.”
There's no consistent framework. The decision depends on who reviews it. Some teams are too cautious. Others bid on everything.
Go / No-Go Analyser replaces the inconsistency with a structured, scored, repeatable decision every time. It doesn't matter whether the decision sits with a CEO, a CFO, a Business Development Director, or a bid manager. The framework is the same. The data is the same. The organisation stops leaving bid decisions to chance.
How It Works
Step by step
Four steps from extraction to a scored, exportable bid recommendation.
Step 01
Run extraction with Go/No-Go selected
Upload your tender and select Go/No-Go as one of your extraction targets. The engine reads the full document for decision-relevant parameters — contract value, delivery timeline, penalty structures, eligibility requirements, EMD, security deposit, and payment terms.
Step 02
Five parameters scored automatically
Qualification fit, competition potential, commercial viability, document readiness, and risk parameters are each assessed individually. Each score is traceable — you can see exactly what drove it, with page references to the source clauses.
Step 03
Risk flags surfaced with source references
Impossible delivery timelines, LD rates above your risk threshold, unusually large performance bonds, missing credentials, and one-sided contractual terms are flagged — each with a severity level and exact source page.
Step 04
Weighted recommendation delivered — export for management
A final Go or No-Go recommendation is generated with individual parameter scores, an overall weighted score, and a summary of key factors. Export as PDF, Word, or Excel for board review or management sign-off.
In Practice
What a real day looks like
Real scenario
A business development team receives a large water infrastructure tender on a Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday morning, three different people have three different views on whether to bid. The BD head wants to go for it. The CFO is worried about the delivery timeline. The bid manager hasn't read it yet.
They run the tender through Keendex. The Go/No-Go Analyser scores it across five parameters. Qualification fit: strong. Competition: moderate. Commercial viability: acceptable. Document readiness: 2 gaps. Risk: flagged — the LD clause runs at 1% per week with no cap, and the completion timeline is 14 months for a scope that typically takes 20.
The recommendation: No-Go unless the timeline and LD cap can be addressed at pre-bid stage.
The team raises two pre-bid clarifications. The authority revises the completion period to 18 months and introduces an LD cap at 10%. The Go/No-Go is re-run. The recommendation flips to Go. The bid is submitted.
The decision took a brief session — not three days of internal debate.
What You'll Stop Doing
What you'll stop doing
These are the activities Go / No-Go Analyser makes unnecessary from the first tender you run through it.
- Spending days in internal debate about whether to bid — with no shared data to anchor the conversation.
- Committing two weeks of bid prep only to discover mid-way that the timeline is commercially unviable.
- Discovering the LD rate, performance bond size, or retention terms after the contract is signed.
- Making bid decisions that vary depending on who reviews the tender — and having no audit trail of why.
- Treating every tender as equally worth pursuing without a scored framework to separate high-fit from low-fit opportunities.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Five questions that address the most common points of hesitation before a team commits to using Go / No-Go Analyser on a live tender.
What's the difference between a Go/No-Go score and the PQ cross-reference?
PQ cross-reference answers one question: do we qualify? Go/No-Go answers five: do we qualify, can we win, does it make commercial sense, are we ready to bid, and is the risk acceptable? PQ feeds into Go/No-Go as the Qualification Fit score.
Can we re-run Go/No-Go after a pre-bid meeting changes the tender conditions?
Yes. Re-run at any point after an addendum, after clarifications are answered, or after your company profile is updated. The History module stores every version so you can track how the decision evolved.
How does the analyser handle tenders where some parameters can't be assessed yet?
Parameters that can't be fully assessed are flagged as incomplete rather than scored at zero. The overall recommendation reflects the available data and indicates which parameters need further review.
Can the Go/No-Go output be presented to our board for approval?
Yes. The recommendation exports as a clean PDF or Word document with parameter scores, risk flags, source page references, and the overall recommendation. Structured for a management audience, not a technical one.
Does Go/No-Go work for private sector RFPs, not just government tenders?
Yes. The five parameters — qualification, competition, commercial viability, readiness, and risk — apply to any competitive procurement document regardless of whether it comes from a government authority, PSU, or private sector client.
